Making wrought iron railings.

You sort of have two choices when it comes to making railings.

Making a railing can be relatively easy or it can be quite difficult. Much depends on the design of the railing. A railing in its simplest form is a horizontal top and bottom bar, connected with upright spindles or pickets. With no decoration on the top it looks like a ladder.

Making two small railing panels is always going to be more expensive than making one medium size panel. But making one long panel is likely to be more expensive that two medium size panels. Which might not make sense as you are thinking only one lot of bars to cut. As well as only one set of wall fittings. Which is true, but as it gets longer it get heavier. which is perhaps stating the obvious. With increased weight it become more difficult to handle. Sometime to the point of requiring mechanical handling.
